Starfield Hotfix Addresses Occasional Disabling of Certain Quests

During a talk at the Game Developers Conference 2024 in San Francisco, Starfield lead quest designer Will Shen discussed the title’s ending, explaining that it was created out of “necessity and urgency.”

's lead quest designer has explained why the ending was so underwhelming for many. Prior to its launch, Bethesda marketed the game as being an epic space adventure, spanning over 1000 planets, and while it was extremely well received by critics at launch, its popularity soon seemed to dwindle with players, with complaints that many planets seemed empty and ultimately, there wasn't as much to do as they wanted.

According to the game's lead quest designer, Starfield hit the «panic button» in order to finish its final quest in time for the September 6, 2023 launch date. Starfield has over 1000 planets for players to explore, but the final one in the game, Masada 3, was designed extremely last-minute during the development process.

Blizzard is currently rolling out a hotfix that fixes an issue with temporary buffs not being cleared upon entering the Gauntlet.

Larian Studios has released a brand new hotfix for Baldur's Gate 3, addressing pesky script bugs while also bringing additional updates to the Xbox version.

A new hotfix is available for Larian Studios’ Baldur’s Gate 3. It fixes some crashes and issues with Minthara, but more importantly, it also brings hotfix 20 and 21 to Xbox Series X/S players. That means any issues with cross-platform saves should be gone.

Larian Studios releases Hotfix 22 for Baldur's Gate 3, bringing more crash fixes and UI improvements to the game, while also bringing the Xbox version back up to date with the other platforms. The latest Baldur's Gate 3 update continues a steady trend of keeping the massively popular RPG update to date between smaller, more common Hotfixes and the rarer but larger updates.

Blizzard has implemented a hotfix to Wrath of the Lich King Classic addressing PvP damage from Piercing Shots, Deep Wounds, and Ignite.

Meta Quest is rolling out an update this month that will allow the headsets to be used while lying down. Unexpectedly, this will only be available for the Quest 2 and Pro, leaving the latest headset, the Quest 3, out in the cold. The update also introduces Quest Cash, a form of currency that will give headset owners a new way to manage their spending in the VR and AR world.

Larian Studios has released a new hotfix for Baldur’s Gate 3, available on PC, PS5 and Mac. Unfortunately, it’s still being tested for Xbox Series X/S alongside hotfix 20 due to an exclusive “crash bug.” The developer will investigate and resolve the issue, but until then, cross-saves from platforms with the latest hotfixes won’t be loadable on Xbox Series X/S.

Developer Larian has issued another hotfix (number 21) for Baldur's Gate 3 across PC, PlayStation 5 and Mac. However, those on Xbox will have to wait a little longer for this and the game's previous hotfix to arrive, as they are still going through testing.
