Fall Guys has officially announced the newest crossover content coming to the competitive platformer, adding in a plethora of new skins based on the Star Wars franchise. Much like Epic Games' Fortnite, the platformer from developer Mediatonic has become renowned for the wide variety of media crossovers featured within the game. Fall Guys has crossed over with games like Final Fantasy 14 and Death Stranding, as well as several movie and TV franchises and even the WWE. Now, the game's next crossover will welcome one of sci-fi's most iconic brands to the game.
With «May the Fourth» becoming an unofficial holiday for many Star Wars fans, the franchise has often featured game crossovers to celebrate the annual event. Fortnite recently unveiled a major crossover with the franchise, with skins and other Star Wars-themed content being added to Fortnite, LEGO Fortnite, and Fortnite Festival. Several retailers also offers deals for Star Wars media to commemorate the event, celebrating the history of the iconic sci-fi franchise. Now, Fall Guys is joining the Star Wars festivities with a new collaboration coming later this month.
A new trailer released by Fall Guys has officially revealed the Star Wars crossover content coming to the game starting next week. The video showcases several new outfits being added to Fall Guys, including skins based on Chewbacca, Han Solo riding the Millennium Falcon, Boba Fett, and a Stormtrooper. The event will also add several new cosmetic effects, including emotes based on iconic scenes from the Star Wars movies. Fall Guys' Star Wars crossover event is set to launch early next week on May 7 and is expected to run through May 20.

The newest collaboration coming to Fall Guys joins a wide library of crossover content featured within the platformer game, both from games and other media. Fall Guys has featured crossovers with television and movie franchises like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Invincible, and Encanto among others. Fall Guys also regularly implements game mechanics from its crossovers into its core gameplay, like the previously mentioned Final Fantasy 14 crossover's «Gold Saucer» event.
The initial success and sustained presence of Fall Guys has inspired plenty of franchises to follow suit with similar gameplay styles. A recent leak from Fortnite suggests that Epic Games is looking at implementing mini-games into the battle royale, similar to those found within Fall Guys. Sega is also heavily rumored to be working on a Fall Guys-styled spinoff of Sonic the Hedgehog, tentatively known as Sonic Toys Party. Fall Guys' new collaboration with Star Wars should look to give fans even more reason to join in on its chaotic fun.
