South Park: Snow Day Is A Four-Player Co-Op Game Coming In 2024

TennoCon recently took place for Digital Extremes, focusing on announcements for its long-running free-to-play action RPG Warframe. One of the most significant announcements is that cross-save support is coming this year. It was announced in July 2021 with crossplay, the latter added to the game in December last year.

Developer Saber Interactive and publisher Focus Entertainment have unveiled a new game during Gamescom Opening Night Live 2023. Dubbed Expeditions: A MudRunner Game, the game follows in the roots of the MudRunner and SnowRunner games, focusing on the minute-to-minute traversal of various vehicles through harsh terrain.

Bandai Namco has announced Little Nightmares 3, a follow-up to Tarsier Studios’ side-scrolling horror platformer. It focuses on two new characters trapped inside Nowhere with many disturbing sights. Some of these include a giant doll that roams the landscape as our heroes stealthily try to evade it.

One of the most highly anticipated indie releases of the year, Sea of Stars, is set to launch in a week’s time for PC and consoles, and though at launch it will be an exclusively digital release on all platforms, console players will also have the chance to get a physical copy of the retro RPG a few months down the road.

This year’s Gamescom Opening Night Live is set to be more focused on updates for previously-announced titles than announcements of new games, and in the lead-up to the show on August 22, plenty of major upcoming releases have been confirmed to be part of the lineup that’ll be taking the stage on the day. Another name has also now been added to that list, in fact.

Blizzard has announced its plans for the final season for Diablo 3 to get new content. Describing Season 29 through a post on the official website, the studio has revealed that Diablo 3 will be getting many new features, including support for true single-player play through the new Solo Self Found mode.

Brace Yourself Games’ Rift of the NecroDancer has been delayed. Slated for release this year, it’s now targeting a release in the first half of 2024. The developer also confirmed on Twitter that the title is being published by Klei Entertainment, which published Crypt of the NecroDancer on PC.

The organization is giving $200,000 to the Hawai'i Wildfire Relief Fund.

Overwatch 2: Invasion, the sixth season of the free-to-play hero shooter and its “exit” from early access is now available. It packs tons of content, from the new Flashpoint mode with new maps to three co-op story missions. There’s also Illari, the new Support hero, and Hero Mastery is coming in September.

Quake 2 is available on Xbox Game Pass.

From its steady stream of character introduction trailers to gameplay showings to new gameplay tidbits being shared here and there, Mortal Kombat 1 has looked increasingly promising in all that we’ve seen of it so far. But while we have, of course, learned plenty about its story, its rebooted universe, its roster, and some of its biggest gameplay changes, one area where we’re still almost completely in the dark is what modes the game will have on offer.

QuakeCon 2023 is kicking off today, and the expectation is that it will bring some interesting new reveals and announcements. One reveal in particular has been in the rumour mill for a few weeks now, with a remastered version of Quake 2 having been rated in South Korea in June, followed by a leak corroborating its existence not long afterward.
