Sony wants to know what your favourite PlayStation game is, as long as it isn't Bloodborne

Sony likes to put on major State of Play livestreams and host its PlayStation Showcase during the month of May, and it appears the company is gearing up to do so once again in 2024. Giant Bomb journalist Jeff Grubb reports he's heard «a bunch of times» from sources that Sony is planning an event for May, and it sounds more like another big PlayStation Showcase rather than a more subdued State of Play.

Sony has announced the launch of the latest version of its gaming console, the PlayStation 5 (PS5) Slim in India. After a last-minute delay to "scrub the branding off," the PS1-style racer Bloodborne Kart is now known as Nightmare Kart, and it's finally set to launch in May.

A newly published patent from Sony may support rumors and speculation of a new PlayStation handheld device in development. Unlike the PlayStation Portal, Sony references the PlayStation Vita, PlayStation Portable, and PSP Go as predecessors for the new patent.

A recent patent publication has revealed that Sony is working on a braille integration system for the PlayStation 5 controller, which would allow visually impaired players to use the PS5 controller touchpad to feel vibrations that can be read as braille. This latest patent joins a growing number of recent Sony patents targeting accessibility that have given audiences some insight into the company's research and development efforts.

A future PS5 update has been revealed, in which the 'Game Help' section of the system's interface will be significantly expanded upon. The new 'Community Game Help' is exactly what it sounds like: players will be able to reference gameplay clips from other users when they're stuck on a certain in-game objectives, challenges, or Trophies.
