Sony has revealed the most downloaded PlayStation Store games of 2023.
The company has published separate top 20 charts for PS4 and PS5 in both the US/Canada and Europe.
It has also released top ten charts for PlayStation VR games, PlayStation VR2 titles and free-to-play games in each region.
Sports games claimed 20 of the 80 places across the PS4 and PS5 charts, while Rockstar titles took seven spots and Call of Duty games occupied six.
The PS5 chart in the US/Canada was topped by Hogwarts Legacy, ahead of Modern Warfare 3, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, Madden NFL 24 and NBA 2K24.
EA Sports FC led the PS5 chart in Europe, followed by Hogwarts Legacy, Modern Warfare 3, Grand Theft Auto 5 and Spider-Man 2.
Modern Warfare 3 topped PS4 chart in the US/Canada, ahead of Hogwarts Legacy, MLB The Show 23, Madden NFL 24 and NBA 2K24.
In Europe, EA Sports FC came out on top again, followed by Minecraft, Red Dead Redemption 2, Grand Theft Auto 5 and FIFA 23.
Pavlov was the most downloaded PS VR2 game in both regions. Beat Saber and Kayak VR: Mirage placed second and third in the US/Canada, with their positions reversed in Europe.
Beat Saber was the most downloaded PS VR game in the US/Canada ahead of Job Simulator and Superhot VR. In Europe, Job Simulator charted first ahead of Beat Saber and Superhot VR.
Fortnite, Roblox and Call of Duty: Warzone were the most downloaded free-to-play games in that order in both regions.
