Combine the turn-based mech battles of Into The Breach with the rule-changing puzzling of Baba Is You and you have Mobile Suit Baba, whose launch I entirely missed right before Christmas. Pick a squad of mechs to field in different scenarios where you must push, pull, and slam your way to victory. All of which will be so much easier if you rewrite the rules by shunting around syntax blocks. And yes, Baba is piloting a giant Baba-shaped mech.

Enter Dragon's Dogma 2, which, to the surprise of no one, has applied its inimitable brand of cool nonsense to magicians and come up with solid gold: a Trickster class that can taunt enemies straight off cliffs.

The enormous freedom offered in means that it's possible to kill just about anyone in the game, but there's a small selection of characters who aren't intended to be so easily offed. A high fantasy world naturally features some creatures and beings that are more powerful than others, and immortality or something close to it isn't always out of the question. Thanks to the complex array of systems in the game, however, even a couple of characters that shouldn't be able to bite the dust can be permanently eliminated with the right trick.

Skyrim is now notorious for its longevity, selling a bajillion copies every year and having been ported to practically all machines that have some computing power. Despite the game's long legs, some well-versed players are still struggling to see everything there is in Bethesda’s juggernaut RPG.

Withers and Mizora are basically immortal in Baldur's Gate 3. Withers is an old god so, yeah. Mizora is a devil holding Wyll hostage with a nasty contract. They're not exactly lowly goblins you find on the road, they're the closest the game has to 'essential NPCs'. But that hasn't stopped players from figuring out how to cut their time in the Sword Coast short.
