Skull and Bones Releasing in Q4 2023-24

Netflix Games, the streamer's game subscription service that comes bundled with a Netflix subscription, has grown over time to include nearly 90 games across different genres. The platform adds new games to the service every month, which can be played on Android phones and tablets, iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. Now, Netflix Games is bringing four new titles inspired by popular films and shows on the streaming platform. As part of its ongoing Geeked Week 2023 showcase, Netflix has announced Money Heist, Shadow and Bone: Enter the Fold, Chicken Run: Eggstraction, and The Dragon Prince: Xadia — all mobile titles arriving soon for Netflix subscribers.

It's being reported that Ubisoft is undergoing another round of layoffs to "streamline our operations," this time hitting its largest development studio and other groups across the world. Per IGN, Ubisoft Montreal has laid off 98 staff members, along with another 26 across global IT teams and the Hybride VFX studio, which included artists that assisted on the production of Disney's The Mandalorian series. "These are not decisions taken lightly, and we are providing comprehensive support for our colleagues who will be leaving Ubisoft during this transition," reads Ubisoft's statement. "We also want to share our utmost gratitude and respect for their many contributions to the company.

Ubisoft’s pirate action-adventure game remains landlocked with another delay. The publisher has pushed the troubled game’s release window back to early 2024.

Skull and Bones — Ubisoft’s upcoming pirate action-adventure — is now facing another delay, according to the company’s latest earnings report. What’s more, another “large” Ubisoft game is being pushed back, too, but it’s not currently clear which one it is. 

Ubisoft reported its first half of 2023-24 earnings yesterday. The financial results were pretty good for the company, which registered record net booking for the first half of a fiscal year and also outperformed Q2 guidance thanks to the successful launches of Assassin's Creed Mirage and The Crew Motorfest and the overperformance of back catalog games.

Ubisoft seems to be finally narrowing down on Skull and Bones’ release.
