Silent Hill 2 Remake Will be Showcased at a PlayStation Event in May – Rumour

The upcoming remake of Silent Hill 2 has brought about a considerable change in the look of the main character, James Sunderland, as revealed in a new game icon on Steam.

Ever since Silent Hill 2 Remake was announced, fans have been rather difficult to please. Taking one of the best horror games ever made and remaking it to modern standards was always going to be a tough job for any developers brave enough to take it on, but Bloober Team has struggled to impress with trailers and pre-release footage.

Bloober Team has seemingly amended the face of James Sunderland in its highly-anticipated Silent Hill 2 Remake.

It looks like publisher Konami and developer Bloober Team have redesigned the main character in their Silent Hill 2 remake, and fans are taking the news pretty well.

As PlayStation’s presence on PC has continued to grow with an increasing number of ports, many have wondered how long it’ll be before Sony brings full integration of things such as PlayStation Network and in-game Trophies to the platform, something that’s only been compounded with multiple reports over the last couple of years that have suggested the same.

There’s been no shortage of recent indications that Star Wars Outlaws is going to release sooner than many expect. In addition to age ratings going up in Brazil, Australia, and South Korea, promotional pre-order material for the game has also been spotted in the wild, while leaks have previously claimed that the game is due out in the first half of the year. Now, a release date has leaked, and though it’s not quite in the first half of 2024, it’s still not terribly far away.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League has been one of the more poorly received games of the year so far, which, based on what publisher WB Games has said, has been reflected in the way it has performed commercially as well. The recent release of the game’s first post-launch season has done little to reignite interest, having provoked widespread backlash owing to a number of significant issues. Many would tell you that the writing has been on the wall for the game for a while now, and it seems that WB Games and Rocksteady Studios are beginning to make plans for the finish line as well.

Rumblings around Star Wars Outlaws have been growing increasingly louder in recent days. Recently, Ubisoft revealed that it would be premiering a new story trailer of the open world action-adventure title on April 9, and with many hoping that the trailer comes with a release date announcement, it’s now also looking like pre-orders for the title will be going live soon as well.

Rumour has it there'll be «news» about Ubisoft's Splinter Cell remake at this year's Ubisoft Forward showcase in June.

Sony likes to put on major State of Play livestreams and host its PlayStation Showcase during the month of May, and it appears the company is gearing up to do so once again in 2024. Giant Bomb journalist Jeff Grubb reports he's heard «a bunch of times» from sources that Sony is planning an event for May, and it sounds more like another big PlayStation Showcase rather than a more subdued State of Play.

Journalist Jeff Grubb recently claimed that Konami and Bloober Team’s Silent Hill 2 remake is going to be showcased at an as-yet-unannounced PlayStation event in May, and another leaker is now corroborating that.
