Bloober Team has provided an update on the Silent Hill 2 remake's production. The developer said that everything is going according to plan and that it just needs a bit more time before revealing anything else.
«On behalf of our development team, we would like to clarify that the production is progressing smoothly and in accordance with our schedule,» Bloober Team said in a statement. «We understand that many players around the world are eagerly anticipating news about the game, and we appreciate your dedication.»
«However, we kindly ask for a bit more patience. Once Konami, as the game's publisher, shares more information, we are confident that the wait will be worthwhile.»

It's unclear what prompted Bloober Team to release this statement. The Silent Hill 2 remake was officially revealed back in October 2022, so perhaps Bloober Team and Konami might be announcing a release date soon.
Preorders for the game have already been available despite no release date announcement yet. Bloober Team also said that the remake will be faithful to the original and the developer will take a conservative approach to changes. Additionally, Bloober Team said that it is done making «walking sim» horror games. This presumably means that starting with the remake of Silent Hill 2, the studio's horror games will have more combat and gameplay mechanics going forward.
Silent Hill 2 remake will be released on PC and PlayStation 5, the latter of which is a timed console exclusive. This likely means it will come to other platforms such as Xbox after its initial release.
