Atlus has released the first, revealing the definitive version of the intense RPG.
The trailer shows off the game’s dark story and turn-based gameplay, as well as its voice acting. This new version comes with a bevy of improvements and an entirely new story path. Upon starting the game, players can choose to play through the original game’s story — dubbed the Canon of Creation — or the added one — the Canon of Vengeance. The additional story also includes a new dungeon and map, as well as a cohort of demons called the Qadištu.
In addition to the Canon of Vengeance, a press release states that the base game’s demon fusion, combat, and exploration mechanics have been “evolved and expanded” in this updated version. Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance is set to release for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC on June 21, 2024.

Before bloodthirsty demons can claim his life, a savior emerges, and they unite to become a mighty being, neither human nor demon: a Nahobino.”
Shin Megami Tensei V was first released worldwide exclusively for the Nintendo Switch on November 12, 2021. It received largely positive reviews and sold well, though it was noted as having some performance issues.
