Earlier this month, Wccftech was invited to visit Sanzaru Games and get an intimate first look at their upcoming title, Asgard’s Wrath II. Production on the numbered sequel began shortly after the first Asgard’s Wrath released four years ago for the Oculus Rift, a gap that could only be described as multiple generations going as far as VR tech has progressed. Now, Sanzaru Games is rushing towards the finish line on development and ready to launch Asgard’s Wrath II exclusively on the Meta Quest 2 and 3 platforms.

Big, bad Babet has been battering the British Isles this week with wind and rain, which has made the decision to stay indoors and play games or watch sports, movies or Deep Space 9 clips on YouTube this weekend quite easy. That, and there’s a bunch of fantastic games that have come out this week, including Spider-Man 2, Super Mario Bros. Wonder, Hot Wheels Unleashed 2 and plenty more.

Yesterday I had a lovely chat with the brainy folk of Oxide Games, developers of Ashes of the Singularity and the forthcoming Ara: History Untold, a historical 4X strategy game that puts a baroque spin on the classic Civilization format with each player's turn unfolding simultaneously once you've queued up a bunch of commands.

Developer Creative Assembly has released a new deep dive trailer for upcoming strategy game Total War: PHARAOH. This time around, the studio has decided to focus on the Hittite faction, giving us a look at some of its gameplay, as well as tidbits of the real history behind the faction. Check it out below.
