Share of the Week: Comfort Game

Back in 2022, it was announced that Uncharted writer and creative director Amy Hennig is working on a Marvel game starring both Black Panther and Captain America. Unlike most superhero titles these days, Hennig's game stood out from the rest by being set during World War 2, and its setting was shown off during a Disney showcase that same year.

The highly anticipated trailer for the forthcoming Star Wars: The Acolyte has finally been released, sparking excitement among numerous fans. Prior to this release, enthusiasts had already voiced their hopes and expectations for the upcoming series.

As more people get Steam Decks and other handheld PC consoles, which are much easier to share among households than a PC, it was integral for Valve to make its generally barebones family-sharing settings more robust. On Monday, the company announced that Steam Families is now available in beta, adding more features for people who want to share games or control access on the platform.

The sun is out and shining in my part of the world, with a lovely spring day coinciding with the end of this year’s Six Nations. It feels like a foregone conclusion that Ireland will wrap things up against Scotland, but maybe I’m just trying to jinx them for a surprise final day turnaround that sees Scotland, France or England win it instead? The title of Marvel and Skydance New Media's upcoming World War 2-era Black Panther and Captain America game has leaked online, supposedly called Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra. Fans of this upcoming Marvel game have had very little information given in the years since its initial September 2022 reveal. This leak is one of the first pieces of information that fans have received about the game, assuming it's accurate.

Roadmaps for video games are something that is always exciting, especially when they come jam-packed with so much content to come to a favorite game. PUBG: Battlegrounds is set to receive many new pieces of content, a lot of it being outlined in a recent roadmap video that was shared by the developers on social media.

Is it just me, or did that week race on by? In video games, it was highlighted by the Xbox Partner Preview and Dune: Awakening’s reveal, but just in general the past five days have felt a tad quicker than usual. Maybe it is just me.

Outcast: A New Beginning, the sequel to one of the very first open-world games ever made, is actually hugely inspired by The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
