In a very sad day for fans of real-time tactics games, Munich-based studio Mimimi Games announced that it would close down, effectively making the recently released Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew its final game. The developer said it would still support the title for a time and work on a patch as well as additional content is already underway.

Nearly two weeks after the release of Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew, its developer Mimimi Games announced it'll be shutting down. 

German developer Mimimi Games has announced the studio's closure, which will gradually happen over the coming months.

Sad news, folks. Munich, Germany-based independent developer Mimimi Games have announced that they're closing doors following the release of Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew, which RPS only recently described as the studio's best work yet. The developer plan to support Shadow Gambit with patches and additions, but are otherwise ceasing development and will "slowly ramp down" in the coming months. Founders Dominik Abé and Johannes Roth are even now trying to relocate the studio's few dozen employees, who will be paid a bonus taken from Shadow Gambit profits to ease the transition.

Functionally, it's pretty much the same as those spiritual predecessors; you control a team from a top-down view, and stealthily make your way across a map disposing of guards on your way to completing an objective, like stealing something, or killing a specific target. But thanks to its supernatural slant, the powers each party member possesses are wilder, and the strategies you can employ are even more devious.
