Sea of Stars Is Out On Android Thanks to Yuzu

I continue to have astrophysics on the brain, and over the weekend, managed to spend an hour in Void Crew from Hutlihut Games and Focus Home. It's part of the surprisingly prosperous genre of "team up to complete some big unwieldy task with multiple moving parts" games, and while it hasn't yet hit the highs of Overcooked or reached the terrible depths of Barotrauma, I think the recently launched Early Access build might be worth your time. Amongst other things, it's trying for a curious blend of jolly party game and macabre theocracy work simulator. And it does have some rather swanky-looking ships.

Solo: A Star Wars Storyapologists, rejoice: Not only is Donald Glover’s proposed spinoff series Lando still happening, but as the star’s brother/creative cohort Stephen Glover revealed this week, it’s being redeveloped as a Star Wars movie.

Star Ocean: The Second Story R, a remake of the second game in the Star Ocean franchise, has received a free demo available now on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam. Also, a brand new gameplay trailer has been released, showcasing a variety of new features, including upgraded visuals.

Valve is currently celebrating Steam's 20th anniversary in the only way Valve knows how: massive discounts on all of its games, and bad jokes. The studio posted a neat timeline crammed with trivia about the platform, which begins with it getting in a quarrel with itself about what the first third party game released on Steam was (Codename: Gordon, apparently, though as it's now de-listed Rag Doll Kung Fu also gets a shout-out), and ends with the tiniest tidbit of news about Valve's biggest release of the year.

It's always a delight adding stickers and emojis to texts and captions because it's the best way to show your expressions and mood through virtual modes. In the new age of technology, not just youngsters, but people of all age groups, often use various emojis to express what they are feeling and it's very much fun. Earlier, Google introduced the “Emoji Kitchen” feature for Android users through its Gboard app, but now, it's available on the web via Google Search so all devices can benefit from it.

Valve's next entrant in the VR industry is highly anticipated amongst fans, given that the Valve Index was well received. It is now being reported that a new "Valve Hardware' has been certified in South Korea, indicating that the company is indeed prepping for the next step in VR.

A new Valve hardware device has just received radio certification in South Korea, which is often a precursor to a wider release. But what, exactly, is it? The obvious candidates are a new Steam Deck, a controller or a VR headset.

Google has begun public testing for its new Playables feature on YouTube, which brings games to the video platform.

Today we have a curious rumor about Valve coming from an unlikely source.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Patch 7 is live, bringing with it key performance improvements on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The PC version received its share of optimization and bug fixes, as well. Among the performance boosts on consoles is a solid 60 FPS in Performance Mode thanks to GPU and CPU optimization and disabling Ray Tracing. Those who prefer to play in Quality Mode should notice positive changes like reduced FPS fluctuation.
