We all know how the Android 15 beta has been out and about for some time now, and a lot of people are enjoying it on their Pixel devices. In order to make sure that the Galaxy S24 users are not left behind, Samsung has also started the development of One UI 7.0 beta, which will be based on the latest version of Android. Do keep in mind that the beta program is still a couple of months away from going official but it is good to know that the development has started.
Based on the information that we have received, Samsung has finally started the development of One UI 7.0, which is going to be based on Android 15. A new firmware with version number S928BXXU2BXE2 is currently being tested by Samsung, and it is being tested for the Galaxy S24 Ultra. If you know Samsung firmware and how the company manages to handle version transitions, it is safe to spot that this is the next major One UI version. In addition to that, the firmware version is also available on Samsung's server
Now, do keep in mind that this firmware for the Galaxy S24 Ultra is still just test firmware, which is why we don't know exactly when this will come out. It cannot be just another One UI 6.1 update, so the next best guess is that it is actually an Android 15-based One UI 7.0 update. Now, the official beta program for One UI 6.0 was launched back in August 2023. So, it could mean that Samsung sticks to the same timeline or even goers for an earlier release, as indicated by this test firmware.
Whatever the case might be, it is too early to confirm anything, but the good news is that Android 15 will be available on the Galaxy S24 series by the end of this year and it will be based on One UI 7.0. Samsung has one of the best software update policies, and I am more than confident that the company is not going to let anyone down with its latest release.
