S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl will launch for Xbox Series and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG on September 5, a delay from its previously planned Q1 2024 release, developer GSC Game World announced. It will also be available via Xbox Game Pass.

Hundreds of thousands of words, dialogue trees that stretch to the horizon and take into account successes and failures, trying to fit in as many characters as possible to suit different preferences; the complexity piles up and threatens to collapse. GSC Game World said at Gamescom last year that after several delays, the long-awaited S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl would finally be releasing sometime in Q1 of 2024, but recently, the developer announced that the survival horror open world first-person shooter had been delayed once again, this time being pushed back to September.
It looks like the upcoming open-world FPS Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl is getting another delay. Originally scheduled to be released in 2022, the shooter now has a tentative release date of September 5, 2024. According to a video by developer GSC Game World announcing the release date, this is the “final” release date.
If you have been waiting on Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl, it hasn’t been easy. Plenty of issues have popped up in the past, pushing this game further back into development. However, it looks like the developers are confident we’ll be getting our hands on the game this year. The developers have dropped a brand new trailer to highlight their final release date. Of course, fingers are crossed in hopes that this doesn’t backfire and another delay will push this game behind the new intended launch date, which is set for September 5, 2024.
