Publisher Beep Japan, publisher and developer Poppy Works, and developer Protoculture Games have delayed side-scrolling shoot ’em up Devil Engine: Complete Edition from its previously planned October 12 release date to November 9. It will be available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Switch.

Ratalaika Games, in partnership with Masaya Games and Shinyuden, will release classic action platformer sequel Cyber Citizen Shockman 2: A New Menace for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Switch on September 22 for $5.99 / £5.99 / €5.99. Nintendo Switch Online subscribers can now access four more retro games via its emulation services.

Typically, Nintendo Switch Online game updates come in two flavors. There are the exciting updates that bring all-time classic titles to the service. And then there are the weird updates that add a mix of obscure titles that seem to exist as curiosities at best. This month’s update maybe veers closer to that second camp, but it’s such a crazy mix of games that I mostly feel confusion over any kind of disappointment.

RoRo has announced Rail Romanesque Origin for PlayStation 4 and Switch. It will launch on December 21 in Japan for 3,800 yen at retail and 2,800 yen via download. An 11,800 yen limited edition will also be available, which includes a Blu-ray disc of the TV anime Rail Romanesque 2 and three-disc vocal CD album.
