We're getting closer and closer to gaming's annual announcement season. Every summer sees the industry turn out for a few weeks of pre-recorded presentations and live broadcasts, all showcasing what's coming up in the near future. With E3 now sadly a thing of the past, the biggest of these events is now Summer Game Fest, created and hosted by Geoff Keighley. Whatever games you enjoy, it sounds like this will be worth watching — a lot of game developers and publishers are taking part.

Map-crafting / puzzles / battle RPG KAMiBAKO: Mythology of Cube will launch for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Switch, and PC via Steam on August 29 in Japan for 5,800 yen, publisher and developer Gravity Game Arise announced. Physical editions will be available for PlayStation 5 and Switch for 6,380 yen. The Japanese release will only support the Japanese language. A release date for other territories will be announced at a later time.

Two and a half years on from its exclusive release on Nintendo Switch, your chance to buy Shin Megami Tensei 5 through the eShop is about to come to an end. Atlus has confirmed that the base game and all of its DLC will be removed from the eShop at 11:59 pm on June 13, 2024. After that point, you will no longer be able to buy the game directly through Nintendo, but if you own Shin Megami Tensei 5 and its DLC, you will still be able to play it, and presumably re-download it if you've bought it in the past.
