Industry veteran Shinji Mikami has reportedly opened a brand new studio called Kamuy Inc.
That's according to VGC, which noticed that the development icon's bio on the website for the upcoming Shadows of the Damned remake mentions that he has set up a new venture.
Not much else is known about Kamuy Inc and – that we can see – it is yet to even be officially announced. It's also not even clear if it's a games studio.
Mikami is best-known for helping to create the Resident Evil series, as well as the Devil May Cry and Dino Crisis franchises. He was a founding member of Clover Studio, the developer that created God Hand, before moving to create PlatinumGames in 2006.
In 2010, he left Platinum and founded yet another studio, this time called Tango Gameworks. It's best-known for survival horror series The Evil Within, but has since released new projects Ghostwire: Tokyo and Hifi Rush.
Mikami left Tango Gameworks in 2023.
