There are quite a few creepy locations in Remnant II, but few are as eerie as the Sanatorium located in Morrow Parish. There are a lot of secrets to uncover while exploring this unsettling hospital, but if you've stumbled upon a combination lock you just can't seem to crack, we'll give you the details below.
As you look around the Sanatorium in Morrow Parish, you'll stumble across a lot of interesting items and secrets, including a locked safe located within one of the hospital offices that requires a four-digit combination. The code is actually part of the song sung by the deranged doctor in the basement of the hospital: "Two shiny copper teeth removed from nine discarded combs, and seven yellowed leaves excised from one forgotten tome."
Having listened carefully to the lyrics of the song, we can ascertain that the combination is 2971. You don't need to visit the deranged doctor to access the safe, though, so feel free to simply head directly to the chest and put in the code whenever you'd like.
When you open the safe, you'll find the Double Barrel, which as you might guess, is a double-barrel shotgun capable of dishing out immense damage at close range. It can only load two shots at one time, but considering how much power it packs and how quickly it reloads, you should have no problem blasting away your foes with this handy secondary weapon. Even better, pair it with a deadly melee weapon to make yourself an unstoppable close-quarters monster.

Remnant II is doing very well for itself. Just yesterday, Gunfire Games and Gearbox Publishing announced that the Soulslike third-person shooter game already sold over a million units, with PC registering over double the first game's concurrent player peak on Steam.
We're one week out from the release of Remnant 2 and friends, the game is a bonafide hit. It's sold over a million copies across PC and console, causing much rejoicing from dev and publisher alike, and prompting the latter to assemble a trailer showcasing all the lovely things people are saying about it.
Developer Gunfire Games has announced that its most recent Soulslike-shooter Remnant 2 has sold more than a million copies. The studio announced through a press release that the game hit the sales milestone across PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
Ah, Half-Life 2. For many, Valve’s follow-up to the influential 1998 FPS is the developer’s magnum opus. It still holds up today and is often held aloft as one of the greatest shooters of all time. Much of it comes down to its tight combat, intriguing story, and dystopian setting.
Though it entered early access several days earlier, Gunfire Games’ Remnant 2 became available to all players on July 25th. After ranking highly in the Steam Top Sellers charts, it was expected to perform better than its predecessor on the platform. Thanks to SteamDB, it’s confirmed that the peak concurrent player count hit 110,856 just 20 hours ago.
Aside from issues on PC (with upscaling pretty much mandatory for good performance), Gunfire Games’ Remnant 2 is a step up from its predecessor in every way. There are some complaints among players regarding things like Trait Points, particularly the cap, which makes it tougher to fully max Traits, and respeccing costs.
The Dreamcatcher is one of the most mysterious weapons in Remnant 2, and unlocking it requires multiple steps once you reach the blighted, haunted city of Losomn. The Dreamcatcher is an extremely unique weapon melee weapon that allows you to enter the dreams of certain NPCs. This weird future is required to access more secret weapons, accessories and archetypes. Learn how to get the Dreamcatcher and what it can do below.
The trait system and progression blockers are being fixed.
Remnant 2 is filled with places and characters for players to meet, each with a different task or use for the player. Some are a bit more outlandish than others, including the Fae known as Nimue. Like many other aspects of the game, this NPC can be tricky to find if you don’t know where to look, meaning you could miss out on meeting a great character and potentially taking on a quest that will reap great rewards.
As someone who’s both played video games for decades and has a “bad brain,” I’m used to feeling emotions ranging from simple annoyance to outright disgust when it comes to gaming’s treatment of folks living with mental illness. Remnant 2, however, pleasantly surprised me with its small amount of compassion toward a vulnerable group too often treated as worthless by the medium at large.
