Horizon Forbidden West, the sprawling action-adventure title from Guerilla Games, is finally getting a PC port. PlayStation announced last week that the Complete Edition of the sci-fi open-world epic, which includes the Burning Shores expansion from 2023, will arrive on PC on March 21. The PC port will be helmed by Nixxes Software, the Sony-owned studio that has previously worked on PC ports for first-party PlayStation titles like Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered and Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart. The Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition PC port comes two years after the main game' initial release on the PS4 and the PS5 in 2022, keeping in line with Sony's PC release timeline for its exclusive games.

Akka Arrh is making the jump from the flat screen to virtual reality, via its upcoming arrival on PS VR2.
Akka V-Arrh, as I am now dubbing it (it is still officially just called Akka Arrh) will be heading to Sony's PlayStation set in March. A more specific date is yet to be announced. However, when it does arrive, Jeff Minter's psychedelic head-banger promises to «transcend» its former contrastrains, and give us all an «unparalleled sensory odyssey» on its VR release.
«Here, players don't just witness the chaos; they step inside it,» the PR proclaims. «In this surreal VR world of cascading shapes, colours, and sounds, every element of Minter's vision comes to life with an intensity and clarity that was once unimaginable.»
Key features for Akka Arrh's PS VR2 debut include options to disable intense visual effects, which I can imagine being quite something from inside the headset. It also promises everything you would expect from an Akka Arrh experience, with plenty of explosions, enemies and action abound over 50 levels.

Popular VR Game 'Can't Justify' PlayStation VR2 Release
The developer of popular sandbox VR game Rec Room has revealed that it currently «can't justify» a port of the game to PlayStation VR2. The virtual reality headset for the PS5 has already featured a wide variety of games for players to choose from, including titles from some of Sony's biggest franchises. Horizon would make its debut in VR with Horizon Call of the Mountain launching in February of last year, while Gran Turismo 7 would also receive VR functionality in a free update. Now, however, one developer doesn't appear to be convinced by the VR platform.

Ultrawings 2 hits PS VR2 early and even the developer was surprised
To the surprise of just about everyone — seemingly including the studio behind it — virtual reality game Ultrawings 2 has hit PlayStation VR2 earlier than expected. Developer Bit Planet Games wrote on X that «shadow dropping Ultrawings 2 on PS VR2 today was not on our 2024 bingo card but, well, here we are.» (A shadow drop refers to a surprise release of a product as soon as it's announced, like Hi-Fi Rush.)
