PS5 launches a new range of metallic covers and DualSense controllers

Our friends at Sony Pictures Entertainment produce a lot of fantastic films, and today, I’m pleased to tell you about our new collaboration to provide the PlayStation community with access to some of these memorable movies on PS5 and PS4 consoles.

A new Sony Pictures app has been added to PS4 and PS5, offering free movies to PS Plus Premium and Deluxe subscribers.

Red Dead Redemption update: While the world is waiting for news on GTA 6, Rockstar Games has quietly added a much-needed feature to the Red Dead Redemption port on PS4 and Nintendo Switch. For years, PlayStation fans had been waiting for Red Dead Redemption to arrive on the PS4. The game was launched back in 2010 for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, and although it was initially accessible on the PS4 via PlayStation Now for a few years, the cloud service was scrapped, meaning that there was no way for gamers to enjoy Rockstar's original take on the Wild West. What added to the misery was the game was available on PS4's major competitor, the Xbox One, through backwards compatibility.

Assassin's Creed Mirage is prepping to release this week, and before that, we've received global launch timings for the same. Ubisoft tweeted an infographic listing different timezones that point toward a staggered release — meaning the game unlocks at different times across the world. On console, the ninth-century Baghdad-set title goes live at midnight local time on October 5, which means the more impatient players can try changing their system's location to New Zealand to try and get in early. So far, the release schedule is straightforward, with preloading already live across PC, Xbox, and PlayStation. However, the PC unlock is a tad confusing, with some regions getting a headstart by as much as a day.

Warhammer Darktide ticks alot of boxes, the co-op gameplay shown with the fantastic Vermintide 1 and 2 with a Warhammer 40k foundation, it’s a game I was looking forward to when first announced and I was equally dissapointed when it was initially delayed.
