PS5 DualSense V2 With Improved Battery Life Listed At Best Buy

Cities: Skylines II developer Colossal Order has a uniquely close relationship with its community. The original Cities: Skylines came out in 2015 and gobbled up the audience that was left behind by EA’s SimCity, which came out in 2013 and was a busted mess. Cities: Skylines scratched that urban-planning itch, plus it cost just $30. The game came first to PC, Mac and Linux with modest hardware requirements, and it hit consoles within two years. Critically, Cities: Skylines also supported mods through the Steam Workshop, allowing players to add their own tools to the game and share those features with others.

Good news, Horizon likers. Not only have Sony announced a release date for the PC version of Horizon Forbidden West's Complete Edition - mark your calendars for March 21st, folks - but they've also released a new trailer showing off all the various PC features. Chief among them for me is proper support for PS5 Dualsense controllers, which means you should be able to benefit from all the same haptic feedback ripples and adaptive trigger pulls of Aloy's bow as folks did on PS5.

Keeping with tradition, Bethesda’s Starfield launched with its fair share of bugs and issues, which have been steadily addressed with patches since. Bethesda has now announced Starfield’s biggest update to date will enter Steam Beta next week, with a full launch around two weeks after that. The update promises various visual improvements, fixes for various bugs affecting quests, space exploration, and more. While we don’t have full patch notes yet, Bethesda made the following promises on X.

Though the DualSense packs a suite of impressive features, one of the biggest criticisms has been its battery life. This may be remedied by a new version of the controller that has appeared online, as Resetera user ezidro3 noticed.

Sony might be launching an updated version of its PS5 DualSense controller. A now-deleted listing on the Canadian Best Buy store revealed a V2 PlayStation gamepad, which does appear normal on the surface but comes with an ‘exceptional 12-hour battery life' at maximum charge (via The Verge). This would be a massive upgrade from the existing DualSense controller, which comes with roughly 7-8 hours of juice, depending on the game. Priced at CAD 89.99 (about Rs. 5,580), the post also mentioned a click-in charging station that would be included within the box, making it convenient to play for longer hours and tuck it away neatly.

Sony’s DualSense controller is a great gamepad for PS5 (and PC, too) that suffers from pretty lousy battery life, ranging anywhere from 5-7 hours per charge, depending on the games you play. However, an improved model may be arriving soon, but with improved battery life, plus a charging dock included in the box (via The Verge).

A retailer listing of a «V2 DualSense» controller for the PlayStation 5 has been spotted online, and it boasts an «exceptional» 12-hour battery life. That's a much longer battery life than the standard version of the DualSense controller, which averages between 6 to 10 hours (and many players would argue less).
