Project Birdseye announced – roguelike action game set in The Callisto Protocol’s Black Iron Prison

Of the many gaming subscriptions out there, the $11.99 per month Humble Choice is one of the good ones. That’s partially because Choice lets you keep and play PC games you received through the service, even if you choose to unsubscribe later on (unlike Xbox and PlayStation’s respective subscriptions). There are other benefits that I’ll explain below, but I won’t bury the lede any further.

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate stands out for offering a vast library of games playable across Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC at a monthly rate of $17. The beauty of the movieKiller Klowns from Outer Space is the way the title tells you exactly what you are going to get. A small town has been invaded by aliens, who happen to look like Clowns. And you’d best believe they will be killing. Now, that elegant premise is getting its own asymmetrical horror video game.

A collaboration of developers have announced The Triple-i Initiative, a 45-minute showcase event featuring world premieres, exclusive gameplay, demos, and drops from some of the top independent creators in games. It will take place on April 10 at 10:00 a.m. PT / 1:00 p.m. ET. You will be able to watch it on YouTube, Twitch, bilibili, IGN, and Steam.

Dragon's Dogma 2 has been out and in players' hands for almost a week now, and it's fair to say that although it launched to incredibly positive critic reviews, certain elements haven't been received fantastically by the fanbase. The action-RPG was immediately hit with backlash for its microtransactions, and plenty of people have been left frustrated by the deadly Dragonsplague mechanic, too. 

David Gaider, the creator of Dragon Age's setting, has spoken out against the current state of the games industry, and the "fear" developers have of needing to crunch to make enormous games as if it's the only way forward. He believes that "it doesn't have to be that way," but that if it did, "maybe the industry deserves to die."

Acolyte of the Altar, the roguelike deckbuilder with a wasteland twist from developer Black Kite Games, hits PC via Steam on March 25. Ahead of the game's launch next week, Game Informer can exclusively reveal the Acolyte of the Altar launch trailer, which features plenty of deckbuilder action and another taste of this Magic: The Gathering and Shadow of the Colossus-inspired game. 

If you can't get enough games inspired by FromSoftware's influential Souls series, you're in luck, as another one is heading our way later this year. Enotria: The Last Song was initially planned to release this spring, but has now been pushed back to 21st August. It looks fairly promising in this new gameplay trailer.

Publisher Team17 and developer Windwalk Gmes have announced Camelot-set cooperative roguelike action game SWORN for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Switch, and PC (Steam). It will launch in 2024. Registration for a closed play test is available now.

It's been a turbulent few days in the Helldivers 2 community. Arrowhead Game Studios (and the Ministry of Truth) has finally admitted that flying bugs are real, and the airborne critters are currently running wild in the game. Well, the Future Games Show is always full of surprises, but we've not had one quite like this before.
