Niantic has officially revealed that the Pokemon featured in the upcoming Pokemon GO Community Day is Bounsweet, a Grass-type creature that first appeared in Pokemon Sun and Moon. Pokemon GO’s May 2024 Community Day will be happening on May 19 between 2 pm and 5 pm local time.
The Pokemon GO Community Day is a monthly event that lasts only a few hours. The event offers special bonuses and an increased chance to capture a featured creature. Normally, the evolutions of the featured creature can also learn special abilities if they evolve during the event. In the two previous months, Litten and Bellsprout were featured on Community Day.
Now, Niantic has officially revealed Bounsweet as the Pokemon featured on May’s Community Day. From 2 pm to 5 pm (local time), all Pokemon GO players will have increased chances of finding this creature. Also, evolving Bounsweet’s evolution Steene to Tsareena will give the creature a new attack called Charged Attack High Jump Kick, which has 110 power and a chance to decrease the adversary’s Defense. Catching Bounsweets during the event may also reward players with Stardust and Great Balls due to Field Research events.
During the upcoming Community Day, gamers can pay $1 to participate in the Bounsweet Community Day Special Research event. Apart from that, gamers will gain access to several event bonuses, such as gaining two Candy whenever they catch a Pokemon, diminished Egg Hatch Distance, trades requiring 50% less Stardust, Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) lasting for more time, and more. After the three-hour event ends, gamers will also be available to participate in four-star bonus raid battles in which Steenee may appear.
