Developed by Wishfully Studios and heavily inspired by the memorable works of Studio Ghibli, the 2023 puzzle-platformer Planet of Lana quickly became a fan-favorite, with critics and fans alike praising its music and storytelling. The side-scroller will soon be made more accessible than ever, coming to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch on April 16.
“A planet that used to be a place of undisturbed balance between human, nature, and animal has now become something else entirely,” reads the game’s overview on Steam.
“The disharmony that had been in the making for hundreds of years has finally arrived in the form of a faceless army. But this is not a story about war. This is a story about a vibrant, beautiful planet—and the journey to keep it that way.”
Planet of Lana centers on a girl named Lana as she explores a planet overtaken by hostile alien machines to find her abducted sister. Accompanied by a cat-like creature named Mui, the two must work together to solve puzzles and traverse the game’s scenic world. Players are asked to use their wits and stealth to navigate the title’s more dangerous situations and their reflexes during certain action sequences to make it to the very end.
At the 27th Annual D.I.C.E Awards, Planet of Lana was nominated for Outstanding Achievement in Original Music Composition. Inspiration for the title came from many popular sources, including The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee.
Planet of Lana is already available on PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. The PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch versions will launch on April 16.

Mintrocket's is coming to PlayStation Plus on April 16. As its name would suggest, the title follows a professional diver called Dave who catches unique fish during the day to serve at his seaside sushi restaurant at night. The title was released to extremely high acclaim on PC in June 2023, with a Nintendo Switch version released later that year. It sparked some controversy when it was nominated for the "" award at The Game Awards, however, as Mintrocket is a subsidiary of Nexon, Korea's biggest game company, and would have had more funding than most actual Indie developers.
Omega 6, the first video game from Star Fox and F-Zero artist Takaya Imamura since he left Nintendo in 2021, will be released for Nintendo Switch in Japan on July 25.
A newly published patent from Sony may support rumors and speculation of a new PlayStation handheld device in development. Unlike the PlayStation Portal, Sony references the PlayStation Vita, PlayStation Portable, and PSP Go as predecessors for the new patent.
Even with Netflix’s recommendation algorithm serving you new movies, new TV shows, and original programming tailored to your viewing habits, the streaming service’s firehose of content makes what’s coming difficult to parse.
While Dragonflight Patch 10.2.6 has players focused on Plunderstorm and Season 4, Noblegarden is also teased to have updates this year! One of those updates is the Duck Disguiser toy, which allows players to transform into a tiny duck of various colors. Alongside the Duck Disguiser toy are six color variations: Mallard Duck Disguise, White Duck Disguise, Black Duck Disguise, Brown Duck Disguise, Yellow Duck Disguise, and Pink Duck Disguise. There's also a 7th mechanical duck model, though it doesn't have an associated disguise. Although ducks may not seem to have much to do with Noblegarden, it makes a bit more sense than you might think. Despite a distinct lack of rabbits in the Dragon Isles, ducks are plentiful and have been a popular highlight over the course of the expansion: from emotes, to sidequests, and even a new version of polymorph! For more hard evidence, the Lovely Duckling pet was added in Patch 10.2.5, alongside the duck shifting druid, Daetan Swiftplume and his special Noble Flying Carpet drop, the flavor text outright confirming that at least one duck is involved in the holiday update.
