Palworld's Key Dev Was Picked Up From a Convenience Store

Presumably not ready to leave Attack on Titan behind after its anime finale, one Palworld player has recreated the series' iconic central city on a massive scale, purportedly without the use of any mods to make things easier. 

A vocal portion of the Palworld fandom has recently taken to social media to ask Pocketpair to add corner roofs and a few other junction assets to the hit game. Their pleas add to the list of feature requests that Palworld players have put together to date.

Palworld developer Pocketpair is spending hundreds of thousands of dollars a month in order to keep up with server demand, and it's now simultaneously trying to hire enough people to maintain what's still one of the most viral games in the world. 

The previously announced D&D open world roleplaying game in development at Hidden Path Entertainment has now been officially paused by the studio based in Bellevue, Washington.

In Palworld, you have the freedom to treat your Pals as you wish. For the most part, players love to spoil their captured buddies and wouldn’t dream of hurting them. Sometimes, however, butchering a Pal is needed. Thankfully, the game censors that action. Right?

The Palpagos Islands in Palworld are a massive swath of land waiting to be explored. You will spend plenty of time catching a team of Pals in the early going, as well as collecting plenty of materials to build up a base and upgrade your gear, but exploration will always pull you out into the dangerous wilds. While you’re out there, you will eventually happen upon various treasure chests with the promise of some great loot inside. These chests come in different types, with each requiring a unique type of key to be opened. The rarest of these chests need a Gold Key, which is obviously the hardest to find. In fact, you can look high and low and never find one. There’s a trick to getting these special keys, and we’ll share all those juicy details.

To the surprise of just about everyone — seemingly including the studio behind it — virtual reality game Ultrawings 2 has hit PlayStation VR2 earlier than expected. Developer Bit Planet Games wrote on X that «shadow dropping Ultrawings 2 on PS VR2 today was not on our 2024 bingo card but, well, here we are.» (A shadow drop refers to a surprise release of a product as soon as it's announced, like Hi-Fi Rush.)

An early version of the Nintendo Switch user interface has leaked online. The images that are currently making the rounds on social media suggest that the Nintendo Switch was once planned to have a much livelier menu than what ended up shipping to consumers.

The Xbox version of Palworld keeps crashing for many players, significantly hindering their enjoyment of the game. This widely reported instability adds to the list of disadvantages that the Xbox port of Palworld exhibits in comparison to the PC version.

Despite drawing comparisons to, the core gameplay of centers more heavily around building bases than battling creatures — which unfortunately means that moving bases, or building multiple bases, can be a tedious and time-consuming task. Luckily, the game has built-in features to mitigate the need for multiple bases and rebuilding structures, which can make moving an already-built base much easier than simply rebuilding it from scratch, or having to manage multiple locations in different parts of the world.
