A Palworld player has recently built a huge base that looks like a pirate ship. Base-building allows Palworld players to express their creativity, and this gamer showcased their talent and imagination by crafting an impressive base inspired by One Piece’s ship Going Merry.
Despite being an early access release, Palworld the biggest hit of 2024 so far. By combining survival and crafting mechanics with a Pokemon-inspired experience of hunting Pals, the game took the world by storm. In just over a month, Palworld sold over 15 million units on Steam and reached around 10 million gamers on Xbox, where it’s available on Game Pass. While Palworld still has rough edges, its player base is constantly coming up with new ideas and even exploiting glitches to make the most out of the game.
Now, a Palworld player called bakaforever2 has decided to take base-building to the next level by creating a huge ship base. In the video shared by the gamer, it’s possible to get a clear look at the large ship that imitates the Going Merry, Luffy’s pirate ship in One Piece, and it seems to be floating in the sea. The ship has two huge masts with flags, a few trees growing on top of it, and even “cannons,” although they actually look like pipes due to the limitations of Palworld’s construction sets. To create this huge ship base, bakaforever2 explored a fairly well-known glitch in which a Palworld player can build a base on the water if they set their Pal Box on top of an underwater, but not very deep, surface.
This is not the first time a Palworld player has created a pirate ship base, though. Back in January, another player built a similar construction, although using a fairly different design. While bakaforever2’s ship seems larger, this player made a smaller base with a single mast, but with plenty of storage space inside of it.
Additionally, this is not the first time that bakaforever2 has created an impressive base and shared it with the community. A few weeks ago, the Palworld player built a base near the Anubis statue on Mount Obsidian. This base was very detailed, and it had a huge central garden with a fountain, several stone buildings, and several pieces of furniture. Its most visually distinctive trait, however, was how the Anubis statue could be seen from essentially anywhere in the base, making it look unique. For fans one One Piece, though, this new ship build will be tough to top.
