A Palworld player has managed to hit level 50 in the open world survival game before even finishing the tutorial. There's a lot players have to learn in Palworld, but a tutorial at the beginning of the game helps ease them into the whole thing. Palworld's tutorial features a set of seven objectives for players to complete that are all meant to teach players the basics.
Palworld's tutorial objectives are featured in the top-right corner of the screen, but the tutorial itself doesn't actually lock players out of doing anything in the game. Players are free to pursue the tutorial objectives or ignore them completely. Thanks to Palworld giving players the freedom to ignore its tutorial, one player managed to hit max level without completing the tutorial's last objective, which is to defeat the boss at the Rayne Syndicate Tower.
Reddit user Jenonen managed to hit the Palworld max level of 50 without completing the tutorial, sharing this accomplishment on Reddit in a post that has amassed over 2,000 upvotes at the time of this writing. While Jenonen completed most of the tutorial objectives, they haven't bothered to fight the boss at Rayne Syndicate Tower for whatever reason. This is effectively the first «gym leader» boss in the game, with players having to face off against Zoe and her Grizzbolt. Now that Jenonen is level 50, the fight should really pose no challenge to them at all.
There are seven objectives players need to complete before they're finished with the Palworld tutorial. The first is to check the Survival Guide, and the second is to collect wood and build a workbench. After that, players are tasked with crafting a Pal Sphere and then using it to catch a Pal. Then they have to build a Palbox to establish their base, catch more Pals, upgrade their base to level 7, and finally, fight the Rayne Syndicate Tower boss, aka Zoe and her Grizzbolt.
It's easy to see how someone not interested in fighting the Tower bosses in Palworld could hit max level without ever finishing the tutorial. After all, there is so much to do in the game, and really fighting the Tower bosses is a small part of the experience. Palworld players can hatch eggs, catch new Pals, fight Alpha Pals, build bases, and a lot more to get XP without entering the Towers.
Future updates could add more Towers to the game, not to mention increase the max level cap. The developers have already said that future Palworld updates will add new Technologies, and unless these Technologies are placed on existing levels in the upgrade tree, one has to imagine that a max level cap increase would be necessary. But that's just speculation at this time, and for now, the max level in Palworld is level 50.
