It is no surprise that USB Type-C has been around for as long as we can remember. OnePlus started using the standard back in 2015, which now seems like ages ago, and in 2016, the company introduced fast charging. There is nothing wrong with being a late adopter, which is the case with Apple and its newest iPhone 15 series. The newest iPhones offer USB Type-C, and because of being late to the party, they are now being targeted by OnePlus in a rather cheeky tweet.
This sort of friendly banter is pretty common in the tech industry, but that does not stop OnePlus or Apple from being the behemoths of the smartphone world that they are. Of course, the Cupertino giant is going to enjoy a much higher shipment rate with or without the USB Type-C, so at the end of the day, it really doesn't matter who's attacking who.
