The OnePlus 12 is shaping up to be an exciting device as it will be going official later this year in China and early 2024 in the global market. We have seen the leaked specs in the past, and based on the renders we have seen, it appears that the new phone is going to look a lot like its predecessor, which is a good thing because we are now seeing this trend where the brand is slowly developing its own identity.
Today, we have a new rumor that shows us the camera specifications of the OnePlus 12, and it appears that the Chinese firm has decided to upgrade the camera system on the new phone, finally allowing for better photos from every sensor.
As you can see in the screenshot above, the OnePlus 12 will have a 50-megapixel Sony IM966 primary sensor, which is slightly larger than the one found on the OnePlus 11. You are also getting an ultra-wide lens that is 48-megapixel, and the biggest change here is a 64-megapixel 3x periscope zoom lens from Omnivision. This will be the first periscope camera in a OnePlus device, and if you are into zoom photography, this will improve the results significantly.
So far, the OnePlus 12 is looking like a promising device. It will also be one of the first devices to bring the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 under the hood, and I am glad that the cameras are being focused on as well. Don't get me wrong, OnePlus phones usually have good cameras, but when competing with other phones in the same price range, things often tend to become more difficult for these devices. The excellent news is that the new phone might no longer be an issue.
Of course, we cannot say much about how the OnePlus 12 is going to compete in the real world, but considering how the phone is not that far from official release, it is safe to say that we are going to be hearing more about what OnePlus has in store for us. Stay tuned, and we will be sure to keep you posted.

As initially reported by The New York Times and confirmed by The Hollywood Reporter, Jon Stewart's Apple TV+ series The Problem with Jon Stewart was canceled just weeks before filming of the third season was scheduled to start. According to one of the NYT's sources, «Mr. Stewart told members of his staff on Thursday that potential show topics related to China and artificial intelligence were causing concern among Apple executives». According to THR's sources, executives told Stewart he had to be «aligned» with them regarding the show's topics, and that led to him deciding to leave.

Valorant, a competitive FPS that I've often criticized for being too conservative with character abilities, is cooking up something weird for its next agent. Iso, Valorant's eleventh post-launch agent, is a Chinese mercenary who «reconfigures ambient energy into bulletproof protection.» Pretty useful skills for the aggressive pointman of the team, but pedestrian compared to his ultimate ability that is so strange it's unlike anything I've seen in an FPS before.
The Problem with Jon Stewarthas been canceled by Apple after just two seasons, reportedly after Apple execs balked at the idea of the show tackling topics like China and artificial intelligence, The New York Times reports.
Smartphone technology moves at a blistering pace, at least, on the Android side of things. Folding smartphones has been out for several years, but Samsung has been the face of it in India even though brands like Motorola, Oppo, Vivo, and Xiaomi have also been experimenting with this category. It's only over the past two years that we have started seeing some of the Chinese clamshell foldables getting launched in India. This is mainly because Samsung has been the only smartphone brand to bring every single foldable model it announced globally, to India.
