In , one bug is causing a high level of frustration among players, and it's an issue that may end up killing everyone's favorite creatures and dinosaurs. Anyone who has ever played any iteration of knows that sometimes the game can be rough around the edges, but this bug is a huge one that hasn't been fixed in over a month, causing a ton of frustration for certain players.
Taming the coolest dinosaurs and creatures is central to. That said, finding the best creatures is easier said than done, and sometimes, the taming process can take a lot of grinding for the proper gear, so having creatures randomly die can be a huge problem. Worse yet, this bug can wipe out hours of progress. Luckily, it's pretty easy to avoid, and there are even a few workarounds for now.
Many users, including u/NerdEternal on Reddit, have experienced a bug in which fast traveling in singleplayer kills all their water tames. What makes this situation even worse is that many of the creatures were high-level 200+, meaning that the user wasted a ton of time taming and then leveling up their mighty water beasts.
Sadly, this doesn't seem like an isolated incident, with many others pointing to the fact that fast traveling in singleplayer runs the potential of killing tamed water creatures. Other players have claimed that teleporting via the Tek Teleporter is another way to quickly wipe out water creatures people have tamed and raised.
This bug seems to largely only affect singleplayer at the moment, though there have been reports of similar bugs on unofficial servers.
Though unconfirmed, many in the community have their theories as to why this unfortunate bug exists. The most realistic theory is tied to how the game renders water and the high level of vulnerability water creatures have when outside of water. According to some, they believe that the game renders water it renders dinosaurs and creatures, meaning that the hapless water dinosaurs are left out on the land for a period of time, bringing a short end to their lives. This would make sense, considering that teleporting via the Tek Teleporter or fast traveling via the Bed seems to have the same effect.
There are two main ways to avoid the fast-travel water creature-killing bug. The first way is to avoid fast traveling altogether, which is unlikely to be the most convenient solution for people who need to use the mechanic. One solid solution is to freeze any water tames in a Cryopod before fast traveling, ensuring they don't die on transport. Luckily, Cryopods were recently re-introduced into the game, making this possible.
Though the fast-travel bug in singleplayer is frustrating, those who take the time to store their water dinos in pods before traveling, or just forego using

Ark: Survival Ascended’s existing dev kit is about to get much bigger in a “colossal” update, which Studio Wildcard says will “put the power of unbridled game creation directly in your hands.”
Do you like trapping innocent, extinct animals in diabolical, broken worlds of your own devising, miring them in a purgatory of genre comparisions from which they may never escape? Because Ark: Survival Ascended developers Studio Wildcard and Grove Street Games are promising/threatening to "put the power of unbridled game creation directly in your hands" with the game's next major dev kit update, which will release by the end of January.
There's no shortage of ways to get the edge in combat, but one of the easiest to use is also one of the easiest to forget about. With long lists of spells and items to wrangle, it doesn't take much for tools kept in the recess of an inventory to slip the mind. In more difficult encounters, however, wasting anything that could be used without repercussions can hand the victory to the enemy for no reason at all.
Information is currently scarce on the upcoming video game, but a rumored title could help provide a clue as to what the game is about. The project is in development at MachineGames, the studio behind the modern games, so it's certainly in the hands of people who know how to handle the classic prerogative of killing Nazis. A 1930s setting makes it seem likely that this element will be included, but most other aspects have been subject to only loose speculation.
At the end of every year, gamers are faced with an undeniable fact: far too many video games are released in a 12-month span for anyone to reasonably play them all. It's literally my job to play video games and I bet someone could fill a reasonable top ten this year of titles I didn't even get time to touch. But even as it's a universal, undeniable truth, the revelation that you missed out on something popular is always met with the same incredulous statement.
is getting a new map, but it might seem familiar to survivors who've played in the past. Because of the connection between these games, it's safe to assume that the remastered version of this map added to won't be too different from the original version that was featured in. However, it's possible that adjustments could be made to the new variation of this map, which has been seen with other features in already.

Alpha creatures represent the top food chain in and act as the game's tougher creatures outside of the game's bosses like Broodmother or Megapithecus. Originally released in to create a more difficult challenge, these apex predators have made their way to the new revamped. While somewhat similar in appearance, Apex creatures look different than their generic counterparts, boasting red skin and being larger in size. But the creatures aren't just more visually fearsome; they are also much more challenging to take out with higher overall stats and more punishing attacks.
Due to a large-scale exploit, Ark Survival Ascended devs conducted an eight-hour service-wide rollback while penalizing those who utilized the exploit.
has no shortage of creatures to tame, and it's easy to be drawn to the exciting options like iconic dinosaurs and winged beasts. The best options aren't always the showiest, however, and digging deep into the choices that can be made reveals one animal with exceptionally effective usage. The Gigantopithecus might not be everyone's first choice to tame in, but its extraordinary utility makes ignoring the opportunity a potentially terrible mistake.
