NVIDIA is working with its partners to create a new SFF gaming PC ecosystem which will be driven by "SFF Enthusiast GeForce" GPUs.
NVIDIA Wants To Help Out SFF PC Builders Select The Best Components Under Its New Initiative, Will Feature "SFF Enthusiast GeForce" GPUs
The SFF or Small Form Factor segment is popular among PC gamers for several reasons. Not only does it save space but builders can assemble some creative rigs to fulfill their gaming needs. While the industry has seen a lot of support for the SFF PC segment in the form of DIY components, there isn't an exact list of guidelines of what hardware goes best with each other. But NVIDIA is looking to simply do this with its new initiative.

We have learned that NVIDIA is working with its partners which not only include AICs (graphics card makers) but also chassis, PSU, manufacturers, etc, to put together components that are perfect for SFF builds. Why this is so important because SFF builds are generally more constrained when we compare them to traditional builds. There's the matter of space constraint, airflow & the right PSU choice.
NVIDIA will be laying out SFF guidelines which will be passed over to its partners & eventually help gamers build these compact PCs. The guidelines will include the creation of a standard for AICs & chassis manufacturers based on dimensions and clearances between enthusiast GPUs and SFF PC chassis. Following is the main description of the new ecosystem:
Now you must be wondering if this opens up the space for more Mini-ITX and compact NVIDIA GeForce RTX GPUs. Well, the answer is both a yes and no. You see, NVIDIA won't be offering any compact variants of its own since this is mostly a partner-driven program but partners are free to experiment with their solutions to offer GPUs that comply with the "SFF Enthusiast GeForce" label.
The labels will be applied to both existing and new graphics cards from AICs so we can expect the GeForce RTX 4060 & 4060 Ti series to be the first to adopt this new standard as a true compact ITX (SFF) solution. But the "SFF Enthusiast GPU" label isn't confined to ITX options.
There are also enthusiast GPUs that can be accommodated within SFF PC chassis that support 3-slot wide cards. The new initiative will encourage partners to innovate around high-performance graphics cards which can be paired with ITX motherboards within SFF PC builds and that sounds good for the entire PC segment. Currently, there's no exact date on when we'll see the program go live but it should be made official shortly so stay tuned for more information and announcements.

Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze is a decade old now, and with developer Retro Studios busy with Metroid Prime 4, it doesn’t look like the 2D platformer is going to get a follow-up anytime soon. Interestingly enough, however, if things had gone differently, the acclaimed sidescrolling platformer may have been succeeded by a new 3D entry- and one developed by an external studio, no less.
