The anticipation surrounding GTA 6 has ignited a surge in interest for decades-old GTA Trilogy titles on Netflix's gaming platform. Take-Two Interactive CEO, Strauss Zelnik, revealed during a recent earnings call that the "Grand Theft Auto Trilogy" dominated downloads on Netflix Games following the announcement of "GTA 6."

Word from Take-Two Interactive, parent company of Grand Theft Auto 6 developer Rockstar Games, may have inadvertently narrowed down the upcoming sequel’s release window from a mere “2025.” With Grand Theft Auto 6 not slated to release until next year, plenty of fans are eager for a clearer idea of when exactly they’ll be able to get their hands on Rockstar’s next big game, and a recent financial report may have given them just that.

There have been several anticipated game releases but Grand Theft Auto VI might easily overshadow them. This is a game installment fans have been waiting years to receive. Rockstar Games has been chipping away at the game project and it would have been underwraps for a rather long time until the breach. If you recall, a series of leaks caused gameplay footage and details of the game to emerge online. Grand Theft Auto 6 looks set to be released after March 2025, based on publisher Take-Two’s latest earnings guidance.

Lawrence “Florida Joker” Sullivan has once again put out a message to Rockstar Games over the upcoming Grand Theft Auto 6, but he seems to be dropping his threats of legal action. Sullivan’s mugshot went viral in 2017 due to his facial tattoos baring a resemblance to The Joker of DC Comics fame, and he would gain newfound infamy shortly after Rockstar released the first trailer for the long-awaited Grand Theft Auto 6 back in December. Included in this trailer was a brief shot of a similarly tattooed criminal being taken to court, and Sullivan quickly accused Rockstar of stealing his look.

Grand Theft Auto 6 is set to release some time in 2025, with developer Rockstar Games announcing the much-awaited title via a trailer late last year. The GTA 6 trailer, which has 174 million views on YouTube at the time of writing, came out December 5, showing off shiny visuals, a dense and detailed Vice City, and a Tom Petty song that has since experienced a 37,000 percent increase in its Spotify streams. But hours before Rockstar was forced to actually put out the trailer, it leaked on the Internet. Now, the CEO of Rockstar owner Take-Two has said that the leak was “disappointing.”

Take-Two’s CEO Strauss Zelnick has recently commented on the GTA 6 trailer leak, revealing that it was a disappointing event, but it did not hurt the development team. Grand Theft Auto 6 is one of the most eagerly awaited games in the world right now, and this is the first time the CEO has publicly revealed his thoughts about the leak.

Last month would see one of the platform's biggest launches yet, with the GTA Trilogy coming to Netflix on mobile devices. Now, Netflix is reporting massive success from the game's launch.
