No Rest for the Wicked is the unexpected next project from Moon Studios, the developer behind the Ori series. But rather than make another Metroidvania platformer, the studio has entered the exciting world of action RPGs and it hopes to make a serious mark with its very non-Diablo approach to combat.
For the next two weeks, we’re bringing you plenty of new details about No Rest for the Wicked as part of February’s IGN First. We’ll be offering you behind-the-scenes features and interviews with the developers, but we’ll start with perhaps the most important thing: gameplay. Today’s eight-minute video showcases No Rest for the Wicked’s exploration, combat, cooking, and – of course – an intense boss battle against the grotesque Warrick the Torn.
Be sure to check back with us across the next two weeks for more information straight from the developers, including the team’s ambitions for battle, world-building, level design, and art style. And on March 1 you can expect even more gameplay and insights as part of Wicked Insider, Moon Studio’s own show that will reveal even more about this exciting RPG.
