Some attentive fans have put forth a theory regarding the setting of the upcoming game Pokemon Legends: Z-A, suggesting it will take place in the future instead of the past. Pokemon Legends: Z-A was first revealed at the Pokemon Day event this past February, and it is set to revisit the formula of Pokemon Legends: Arceus. Back in 2022, Legends: Arceus was seen as a fresh and innovative take on the classic Pokemon-catching gameplay, and while little has been shown about Legends: Z-A, fans have already started theorizing about its plot points and where it will be set.

Now that Season 14, World of Wonders, is underway, Pokemon GO players have three new Pokemon they can potentially get from Field Research Breakthrough rewards. Field Research breakthrough rewards challenge Pokemon GO players to complete at least one Field Research task on seven different days. Anyone that successfully does this gets rewarded with a special Field Research Breakthrough reward, which includes helpful items and a Pokemon encounter.

The Pokémon Company is taking players back to Pokémon X and Pokémon Y’s Lumiose City in Pokémon Legends: Z-A, the new Kalos-region game that was announced Tuesday for release in 2025. The brief trailer shown during the Pokémon Day broadcast didn’t include many concrete details, except that Lumiose City is undergoing an “urban redevelopment” aimed at building a city that “belongs to both people and Pokémon.”

Pokemon Unite has announced the next three Pokemon set to join the MOBA's roster, featuring a pair of Pokemon from Scarlet and Violet alongside a Sword and Shield Pokemon. Well, I can’t say that I saw this one coming. Pokémon Legends Z-A has been officially unveiled as the next game in the Pokémon Legends series, and it’s set to release worldwide on Nintendo Switch in 2025.

The Pokémon Company started celebrating the 1996 release date officially in 2016 and has hosted events every year since, making Feb. 27 one of the more important days on the Pokémon fan calendar. Typically, we get a Pokémon Presents broadcast on Pokémon Day, and this year is no different: Pokémon Presents debuted at 9 a.m. EST and showed off a whole new era of Pokémon.

The Pokémon Company and Game Freak will release a new Legends game set in the franchise’s Kalos region in 2025, the companies announced during Tuesday’s Pokémon Presents showcase. The new game, Pokémon Legends Z-A, will be released on Nintendo Switch sometime next year.
