Nintendo 3DS And Wii U Online Functionality Ending Next April

Prime Video's live-action Fallout TV series has finally set a release date – and it's coming a lot sooner than you'd think.

Back in 2020,  Amazon Studios announced that it was creating a Fallout TV series. Three years after it was announced, we now know that the show will premiere on April 12, 2024. Check out the short announcement teaser below.

Salt and Sacrifice, the follow-up to Ska Studios’ 2D Souls-like Salt and Sanctuary, is coming to Nintendo Switch and Steam on November 7th. It’s currently available for PS4, PS5 and PC via the Epic Games Store – check out the announcement trailer below.

Nintendo has announced that they will be shutting down almost all online services for the Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo Wii U in April 2024, ending all online features that include online multiplayer and co-op play, internet rankings and data and content sharing between users. A specific date will be shared closer to that point.

Nintendo has announced its plans to shut down servers for the Wii U and 3DS in April 2024, but fans have already been working on a massive replacement in the Pretendo Network service.

It’s a tradition that as hardware ages, companies will stop supporting it with new releases, and eventually online services shut down. It has been a slow death for the 3DS and the Wii U which had their eShops shut down this year. The next step in phasing out these devices will come in April 2024 when Nintendo shuts down online services for software on the platforms.
