New Resident Evil 2 mod recreates the original experience with 1700 cameras

Baldur's Gate 3 is an enormous game, with so much content it still feels like we could keep uncovering new lines of dialogue and secrets for months, if not years to come. However, it shouldn't come as too much of a surprise that plenty of content was cut from the final release, too, including several explorable locations, such as the first area in the original Baldur's Gate – Candlekeep.

Just over a year ago, Shinji Mikami - he of directing the original Resident Evil and Resident Evil 4 fame - was confirmed to be leaving Tango Gameworks, the studio that he had co-founded over a decade earlier to create a modern successor to his survival-horror classics, The Evil Within.

The Sonic Frontiers modding community is incredibly dedicated, as fans have been creating many different experiences ever since its 2022 release. These mods range from adding in new characters to tweaking Frontiers' gameplay. Some of the most impressive mods are the ones revolving around its cyberspace levels, as fans have created both wholly original and nostalgic levels within Frontiers' engine. One ambitious, and incredibly hilarious, mod for Frontiers is one that recreates Desert Bus.

Mikami gained notoriety as the director of Resident Evil, which went on to create and popularize the survival horror genre. Recently, he was part of Tango Gameworks, which he left in 2023. He's currently working with Grasshopper Manufacture Inc. on Shadows of the Damned: Hella Remastered.

The franchise is one of the most iconic in the entire video game industry and one talented fan wants to remind the community how far the franchise has come since its humble start on the PlayStation One. While many other video game series that began on Sony's first console have been either forgotten or dormant, Capcom's survival horror games have only improved in quality over the years, bar the occasional stumble in the mid-2000s. With modern titles boasting some of the best graphics around, it's easy to forget its roots.

Interestingly enough, the studio’s existence has emerged not from an official announcement, but through the official website of the upcoming Shadows of the Damned: Hella Remastered.

It's a rather sad time to be a Nintendo fan nostalgic for the 3DS and Wii U era of games. In less than three weeks, the online servers for all games on the consoles will be shut down for good, making an enormous number of online modes for fan-favorite games unplayable forever.

Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection hasn't had what anyone could call a good start, launching with major server issues and an enormous file size around eight times the size of both original games put together.
