New Mass Effect Update is Good News for Longtime Fans of the Franchise

Electronic Arts has recently launched EA Sports FC 24 update #12, bringing some fixes and enhancements to the game while addressing various aspects to improve the overall gaming experience for players. This EA Sports FC 24 update was released across multiple platforms, including Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.

EA’s wider multi-studio Battlefield team has gone through some significant disruptions of late, with Ridgeling Games – the studio that was established to create narrative-driven Battlefield experiences – having been shuttered. Prior to that, EA announced that Need for Speed and Burnout developer Criterion Games had joined that larger team, and now, another notable studio has been added to that list.

In a surprising turn of events, Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes is coming to PC, over eight years after the game was first released. Galaxy of Heroes was first released for mobile devices in late 2015 when the hype around Star Wars was enormous thanks to The Force Awakens, and at last, it's coming to a new platform.

Maxis, the studio responsible for The Sims 4, has unveiled a new update focused on expanding the game's content by providing additional hair customization options for Black characters. With an emphasis on inclusivity and authentic representation, this update introduces a variety of color combinations across two hairstyles, offering players a broader range of options for self-expression in The Sims 4's virtual world.

Immortals of Aveum is bringing HDR and AMD FSR 3 to consoles, with updates coming to PC later. Immortals of Aveum was released in August 2023, immediately distinguishing itself from other FPS games through its focus on the use of magic within its gameplay instead of traditional guns. The game was developed by Ascendant Studios, a new team made up of industry veterans involved in games like Dead Space and Call of Duty. Immortals of Aveum additionally features popular actors such as Never Have I Ever's Darren Barnet and Suits' Gina Torres.

Apex Legends is back with its customary April Fools update, adding the good old Mozambique variants alongside an exciting anti-gravity mechanic. Last year, the Apex Legends event featured a Mozambique that shot Nessies, along with six different versions of the gun, including the likes of Mozamblam and Mozambeam.

BioWare fans are already looking forward to Mass Effect 4 and Dragon Age: Dreadwolf, but the famed developer could have even more projects already in the works. BioWare is responsible for some of the most beloved Western RPGs of all time, from licensed hits like Neverwinter Nights and Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic to original IPs like Mass Effect and Dragon Age.
