BioWare fans are already looking forward to Mass Effect 4 and Dragon Age: Dreadwolf, but the famed developer could have even more projects already in the works. BioWare is responsible for some of the most beloved Western RPGs of all time, from licensed hits like Neverwinter Nights and Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic to original IPs like Mass Effect and Dragon Age.
These last two franchises have come to define BioWare from the late 2000s onward, and there are currently new installments of both under development at the EA-owned studio. Dragon Age: Dreadwolf was announced way back in 2018, and it will serve as a direct sequel to 2014’s Dragon Age: Inquisition. Meanwhile, Mass Effect 4 took gamers by surprise when it was officially announced in the winter of 2020, and it will continue the story started in the original Mass Effect trilogy following the divisive departure of 2017’s Mass Effect: Andromeda.
As it turns out, BioWare could have another, unconfirmed game in development alongside these two highly anticipated sequels, at least according to a new job offering posted by the studio late last month. This listing calls for a temporary development manager who will coordinate across “2-3 diverse project teams.” The first two of these teams are presumably working on Mass Effect 4 and Dragon Age: Dreadwolf, meaning that there could be at least one other project being worked on at BioWare.
Earlier this year, BioWare was hit with layoffs as part of a downsizing of parent company Electronic Arts, but fans have been reassured that the next Mass Effect game hasn’t been impacted. Likewise, Dragon Age: Dreadwolf’s development is still churning along, with BioWare putting it at the forefront of its focus and rumors suggesting that it could launch sometime later this year. Fans might be getting another look at the long-in-development Dragon Age: Dreadwolfat the Summer Game Fest in June.
If the recently posted job offering for a temporary development manager is any indication, BioWare could have yet another surprise up its sleeve for when Mass Effect 4 and Dragon Age: Dreadwolf are nearing completion. Thismystery BioWare video game could truly be anything, from another spin-off of its two major properties to something entirely new. All there is to go on at the moment is a vague mention in the job posting, and it might still be some time before BioWare is ready to confirm any new games in its pipeline.

Sony might be looking to acquire fellow media juggernaut Paramount, and this could affect the Halo live-action TV series. For the past two decades, Halo has been one of gaming’s most seminal FPS franchises, spawning not only six mainline entries but an assortment of spin-off games and tie-in media.
