If you have read or watched Hunter x Hunter, then this news is for you! DeNA just dropped a brand-new mobile game based on the awesome manga series! Hunter x Hunter RPG launches today for both Android and iOS devices in China.
Well, I understand it’s a little disheartening for global audiences since it’s only released in China. If you’re an Android user in China, download the game by clicking on the Android download button on the official website. However, if you’re outside China and still want to access Hunter x Hunter RPG, I suggest you take the APK file route.
Now, let’s talk about the game! With pretty 3D graphics and all your favourite characters from the anime including Gon, Kurapika, Killua and Leorio, the title is a good action RPG. You’ll be wandering through familiar places like the Dole Harbor, the Whale Island, the Milsy Wetlands and the Heavens Arena.
It’s not just a rehash of the manga series. You get to dive deep into the story while playing different game modes, such as 1v1 duels in Heavens Arena and tricky challenges in the Trick Tower. The combat in Hunter x Hunter RPG includes a multi-lineup system. You can also mix and match mental and physical abilities to level up the combat.
As you journey through the different locations, you’ll come across a bevvy of fun mini-games. There are hunter experiments, mental ability training, trap tower tests and PVP action in the Heavens Arena. You can also strategize and pick your fave hunter type in the airship placement area.
Hunter x Hunter is a Japanese manga series by Yoshihiro Togashi. It started in Weekly Shōnen Jump in 1998 and was also adapted into two anime series. The story follows a kid named Gon Freecss who wants to be a Hunter just like his father.
