Experiencing the Animal Crossing X Seattle Aquarium partnership

Nintendo and the city of Seattle, Washington, have a surprisingly interesting history together. The most notable example of this is when former president Hiroshi Yamauchi purchased a majority stake in the Seattle Mariners when the team struggled in the 1990s. It was an odd moment in sports and gaming history that remains a fun fact.

Super Mario Bros. Wonder is finally here, and you can celebrate in physical merch form with this new My Nintendo reward. Nintendo now has a listing for the “Super Mario Bros. Wonder Double Keychain,” which features Mario in his normal and elephant forms (hence the “double”). It’s a little strange having Mario and his presumed doppelganger on there instead of another character, but what are you gonna do: he sells merch!

The duo might be hailed as heroes for solving what was sending Pokémon into frenzies, but they still haven’t found Tim’s father and Pikachu’s owner, Harry Goodman, who went missing before the events of the first game. So our duo continue to solve cases in the city with the hope of finding the missing detective.

Detective Pikachu Returns Gets Launch Trailer

While it may not have been on everyone’s “wish list” for 2023, Detective Pikachu Returns has arrived for Nintendo Switch. The game is a sequel to the hit Nintendo 3DS title that inspired the equally popular adaptation that starred Ryan Reynolds as Detective Pikachu. The game puts players in a unique version of the Pokemon world where a young man named Tim Goodman can understand a particular Pikachu that can solve mysteries and drinks a heck of a lot of coffee. The unusual game was much different from the mainline series, and that’s likely what drew people to it, and now, Nintendo and The Pokemon Company are hoping it draws people in again.

Detective Pikachu Returns continues 2023’s onslaught of Pokemon

Ready for another Pokemon release? It feels like we just got one, right?! Alongside the constant updates for Pokemon Go, Pokemon Unite, Pokemon Masters EX, and the recent Pokemon Scarlet & Violet Teal Mask DLC, we’re also getting another entry in the Detective Pikachu Returns series on the Switch eShop this week (October 6 to be exact). Given that the first one ended on a cliffhanger, I’m glad the time has finally come for the sequel to potentially shine.
