Publisher Warner Bros. Games and developer Player First Games have announced that Joker will join the playable roster of fighting game MultiVersus. The announcement was made with a cinematic trailer, which you can check out below. Joker will be available in MultiVersus when the game launches on May 28.
MultiVersus, coming to PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S, will feature a bigger roster than its previous launch, including characters like Black Adam, Wonder Woman, Batman, Shaggy, and Bugs Bunny, among many others.
Since plans to bring the fighting game back were announced, developer Player First Games has spoken about some of the new features and mechanics that will be coming to MultiVersus. Back in April, the studio spoke about the game’s new dash attack and parry mechanics, which aim to make the game faster-paced, allowing quicker recovery times for defensive players and providing offensive players more options for openers and combo finishers.
MultiVersus was originally available in 2022, before being taken down back in April 2023. The revival of t he title will bring with it a host of new features, including a PvE mode, and revamped netcode.

Though is filled with plenty of romanceable villagers and NPCs to befriend, there are certain underrated NPCs players have always had a soft spot for. There’s the Hat Mouse, selling hats out of the decrepit building to the south of Cindersnap Forest; Krobus, who runs a shop out of the town’s sewers; and the Dwarf, who hides in the mines. These characters don’t often interact with the townspeople, instead making their relationship with the character a special one – though it seems the changes in the 1.6 update has made one of those characters a bit more sociable.
MultiVersus will get its big re-release later this month, and it’ll be bringing a brand-new character to the brawl: the Joker, voiced by Mark Hamill. Following the character’s initial cinematic unveiling, here’s a better look at his gameplay, along with some unique dialogue between him and his face-painted bae, Harley Quinn.
