The wait for a new Mass Effect game has been a long one, especially if you don't consider Andronmeda a true Mass Effect game and you didn't re-experience a polished version of the original trilogy via its Legendary Edition. That wait won't be coming to an end any time soon as even though a new Mass Effect game is coming, it's still a long way off. Thankfully, Blasto is here to dry your tears and give you big hug via his new body pillowcase.
Okay, Blasto won't be able to wrap his tentacles around you, but you will be able to hug him thanks to the latest drop on Bioware's official Mass Effect store. 54 inches long, when a pillow of similar length is inside it, the Blasto pillowcase will provide you with the best opportunity you'll ever have to be one of the lovers in every port the Hanar claims to have.
Each side of the pillowcase has a different image of Blasto, the best one being a print that makes the Hanar look like he's making a heart symbol with his tentacles. The pillowcase has a zipper to keep your pillow inside, but it doesn't come with an actual pillow. You will need to provide an appropriately sized pillow yourself. Blasto's pillowcase is available through the Bioware store for $35 at the link in the box below. It's only available for pre-order at the moment, but the pillowcases will ship in May, so not long to wait.
Bioware's body pillowcase has images of Mass Effect's Blasto printed on it. The Hanar is a movie character in the Mass Effect universe and this 54-inch pillowcase gives you the chance to bring the squid-like alien into your home.
Blasto is a fictional character in the Mass Effect universe made famous via posters and previews for his lead roles in in-universe movies named after him. The first Hanar Spectre, Blasto is effectively Mass Effect's James Bond, except his species needs a little more assistance than our human version of the spy. Hanar are jellyfish-like in their make up - just don't say that to their faces - meaning they're at their best when navigating their way through water. While they can exist out of water, they rely on packs that harness mass effect fields just to keep them upright.
If officially licensed Mass Effect merch has been keeping you going during the draught between games, Insert Coin restocked some of its own items from the series last week. Included in the restock were the Mass Effect parka and Garrus enamel pin, among other things. There's also a tabletop adaptation coming later this year. A new way to explore its universe even if it isn't the video game we're all eagerly waiting for more news on.
