May is focused on exploration and events, culminating with an epilogue story, and a new event.
Thaemine Epilogue: Players who clear Thaemine Hard can experience the Darkness Legion Commander’s Epilogue in a new story and “Shadow of the Moon” quest.
Trial Guardian Raid – Hanumatan: 500 years ago, Guardian Hanumatan crushed enemies in a battle for the side of Light. This Guardian is back and needs to be stopped.
In May players can also experience Music Box of Memories II, a new Adventure Island known as “Cruel Toy Castle Island,” and exclusive Western cosmetics designed to evoke 80s and 90s anime. In addition, players will be able to explore the first part of the Kurzan Prelude Event, Chaos Assault, as well as key Stronghold Updates, and much more!
This month a new continent and raid arrive in the next major chapter for Lost Ark. Players will experience Chaos Assault Part 2, Return of the Dragon, as well as venture to the new South Kurzan Continent to investigate a mysterious red liquid corrupting the Sea of Gienah.
Kazeros Raid Ladon: Arriving with South Kurzan is the first Kazeros Raid. The main enemy is Ladon, a Covetous Legion Commander from long before Vykas came to power.
Enjoy fun in the sun at the Maharaka Festival in between battles against Ladon and working to progress through Advanced Honing. Celebrate on the Maharaka Paradise Event Island. Hit the pool and participate in an event race, transforming into a Pirate Mokoko to jump, headbutt, and dash through a swimming race before attempting to defeat a giant rubber duck.

A Pokemon fan has created a Mewtwo card holder that's ideal for holding cards from The Pokemon Card Game or even Magic: The Gathering. The creative Pokemon idea has spurred a conversation about what kind of Pokemon would make the best card holder.
Ubisoft’s crossover Call-of-Duty-esque multiplayer shooter XDefiant has been in various forms of testing for over a year and delayed multiple times, but it seems the game is finally launching for real this month. XDefiant will be a free-to-play live-service game with regular updates, but it will launch with a variety of “preseason” content, including five factions, 14 maps, and multiple modes. Here’s a rundown of the launch content.
Diablo 4 season 4's upcoming loot overhaul probably won't be the action-RPG's final major system rework.
Good news! There’s a new Batman: Arkham game on the way that’s not Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. (Potentially) not-so-good news! It’s a virtual reality game that you’ll only be able to play if you own a Meta Quest 3. Hmm.
The Batman: Arkham franchise isn't as dead as we thought, with Warner Bros Games today announcing a new entry in the beloved series.
Capcom’s Dragon’s Dogma 2 has emerged as the top-selling premium game in the United States for March 2024, per Circana analyst and executive director Matt Piscatella. A Disney Dreamlight Valley player recreated Frozone's apartment from The Incredibles. The superhero's home is the setting for the iconic «Where's my super suit?» conversation between Frozone and his wife. Now, it's immortalized in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
Capcom has announced that it will be delisting Dark Void, Dark Void Zero, and Flock! from Steam on May 8th. It has not yet confirmed if this delisting will also occur on the Xbox store but it does seem likely. If it does then Dark Void and Flock! will be impacted on that platform, as Dark Void Zero was not released on Xbox platforms. Dark Void was already delisted from the PlayStation store, but Flock! is still available.
In Dragonflight, Professions as we knew them were completely revamped: gone were the days of simply crafting an item in one go; instead, players could craft, recraft, and recraft again the same items over and over in order to produce consistently stronger weapons, armor, trinkets, and profession gear over time. One key piece to this system was Sparks — Optional Crafting Reagents that allowed players to adjust the minimum item level a piece of gear would be crafted at. Based off our datamining, it looks like that system will continue in The War Within.

Last December’s Rebel Moon Part One: A Child of Firewas a paint-by-numbers space opera filled in with Zack Snyder’s maximalist colors. Pitched as “Seven Samurai but make it Star Wars” (literally, to Lucasfilm), the finished product was at best a violent B-movie mashup and at worst an expensive Asylum-esque mockbuster. Not a great movie, but a little promising? Its most glaring omission: an ending. After two hours of hero Kora (Sofia Boutella) wrangling a crew to defend a farming planet from Imperium forces, the showdown didn’t actually go down; Snyder held on to the payoff for Part Two: The Scargiver.
