An absolutely enormous PS Store sale has plunged the price of some of the PS5 and PS4’s most popular games, with high profile titles like Resident Evil 4 and Hogwarts Legacy enjoying their biggest digital discounts yet. The former, for example, can be purchased for just £31.34/$x.xx, while the latter’s Digital Deluxe Edition is down to £52.49/$x.xx.

It’s a new year with a fresh football season underway, so that means Football Manager 2024 is imminent. While the series notoriously skipped PlayStation platforms for several years, last year saw the Sports Interactive spreadsheet simulator release on the PS5 – and the latest instalment will continue that trend from 6th November. Cygames hosted a special Japanese livestream for its upcoming Granblue Fantasy games earlier today, showcasing gameplay from both Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising (out in November) and Granblue Fantasy: Relink (out in February). Ubisoft's premier racing franchise, The Crew, generally gets a bad rap. Developer Ivory Tower had very strong ambitions right from the starting grid, providing drivers with an open world approximating the entire United States of America. It's a great idea; roam the entire country from coast to coast with your pals, taking on challenges and building a varied collection of vehicles. The Crew 2 doubled down, even providing new ways to get around with boats and planes. For us, however, the execution was never really good enough, with a vapid open world and lacklustre driving. The Crew Motorfest is a different story.

13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim and Dragon's Crown developer Vanillaware has announced its next game is a stunning tactical RPG that goes by the name of Unicorn Overlord. It's coming to PS5 and PS4 on 8th March 2024, and you can check out the announcement trailer above.

The superb manga and anime series Spy x Family, which sees undercover agent Loid Forger tasked with forming a faux family for his most difficult peace-keeping mission yet, is finally getting its first PS5 and PS4 game – and despite Bandai Namco being the publisher, it’s not an arena brawler. Developed by Groove Box Japan, Spy x Anya: Operation Memories will instead put you in control of Anya Forger, as you set out to create a photo diary with your new parents.

NIS America has released a playable demo for upcoming strategy RPG Disgaea 7: Vows of the Virtueless. You can download it right now on PS5 and PS4, and the progress that you make can be carried over to the full game when it launches next month, on the 3rd October in North America, and the 6th October in Europe.

Square Enix will host a PlayStation 5 open beta test for FOAMSTARS from September 29 at 6:00 p.m. PT / 9:00 p.m. ET to October 1 at 11:59 p.m. PT / October 2 at 2:59 a.m. ET, the company announced.

Square Enix has announced SaGa Emerald Beyond for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Switch, PC, iOS, and Android. It will launch digitally in early 2024 worldwide.

Publisher Beep Japan, publisher and developer Poppy Works, and developer Protoculture Games have delayed side-scrolling shoot ’em up Devil Engine: Complete Edition from its previously planned October 12 release date to November 9. It will be available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Switch.
