Today, Apple has seen fit to seed the release candidate builds of its upcoming iOS 17 and iPadOS 17 to developers for testing purposes. The new release candidate build is available for download on all compatible iPhone and iPad models. You can install the free update right now from the Settings app.
Apple just announced the new iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro models with a boatload of forward-facing additions. The upcoming flagships will reach users with iOS 17 pre-installed. For all older iPhone models, you would manually have to install the latest update. iOS 17 and iPadOS 17 are major updates considering the amount of forward-facing additions it brings to the table. If you are a developer, you can install iOS 17 and iPadOS 17 release candidates on your iPhone and iPad right now.
To install the latest iOS 17 and iPadOS 17 release candidate build, all you have to do is launch the Settings app on your iPhone then head over to General > Software Update > Beta Updates > and install the iOS 17 or iPadOS 17 release candidate build. Before you do so, make sure that your developer account is linked to your Apple ID. If it is not, you will not receive the update on your iPhone or iPad. You can connect your Apple ID to a developer account on Apple's Developer website.
