Immortals of Aveum Cinematic Reveals Impressive Facial Animations, Internal Strife

Blizzard Entertainment’s latest trailer for Overwatch 2 Season 6: Invasion went live earlier this week and finally showcased Illari, the next Support hero. It also tweeted a roadmap for upcoming content, confirming that the previously delayed Hero Mastery would arrive on September 5th.

It seemed pretty obvious from the start that Mario + Rabbids Sparks Of Hope would have DLC. If for no other reason than Ubisoft had done a DLC expansion for the original game between these two franchises. But what surprised some people was that the DLC we got was robust and unique. We got a challenge tower, we got some story content that fit between the main campaign, and now, we’re going to get content featuring Rayman! For a very long time, an animated version of Watchmen was basically a joke, the sort of ill-advised idea that seemed so bad that even DC, a publisher that has never met a lousy Watchmen idea it wouldn’t at least consider, wouldn’t do it. Well, time makes fools of us all, especially internet bloggers who think themselves clever: DC has just greenlit an animated adaptation of Watchmen.

Ascendant Studios’ Immortals of Aveum received much information at San Diego Comic-Con. The developer revealed a new cinematic, which sees Jak and General Kirkan conflicted over the Binding Stone, a powerful artifact. It also confirmed that Michael Kirkbride of The Elder Scrolls fame is involved with the world-building and narrative.

Ascendant Studios unveiled a new cinematic for Immortals of Aveum before its San Diego Comic-Con panel, showcasing a tense confrontation between protagonist Jak and General Kirkan. However, the studio also revealed that Michael Kirkbride, known for writing the lore of The Elder Scrolls series (including Morrowind andOblivion), is involved in the narrative.

Recently at San Diego Comic-Con, NetherRealm Studios showed off a new trailer for Mortal Kombat 1 that confirmed Li Mei, Baraka, and Tanya for the reboot’s roster of fighters, and Goro and Darrius to the roster of Kameo characters. Now, the developer has also provided new story details on a couple of those additions.
