This weekend sees another bumper crop of new movies and shows arriving on streaming, so there's never been a better time to hunker down in front of the TV. First up, Second World War drama Masters of the Air kicks off on Apple TV Plus, featuring Austin Butler swapping Graceland for the cockpit, while new crime series Griselda hits Netflix. Elsewhere, The Farewell director Lulu Wang's new series Expats, starring Nicole Kidman, arrives on Prime Video, a prequel to Jonathan Glazer's Sexy Beast is now streaming on Paramount Plus, and the Queer Eye gang is back for an eighth season on Netflix. 

PlayStation 5 is overflowing with fun titles to keep you busy for years on end, but before you can play your games, you’ll need to be sure they — and your system itself — remain updated and ready to go. Microsoft’s second (hopefully annual?) Xbox Developer Direct went, like the first, exceptionally well. While we didn’t get a shadow-dropped killer exclusive – and let’s be honest, that’s not an expectation that Team Xbox probably wants to set – we did still get the surprise of a behind-the-scenes look at Square Enix’s upcoming Visions of Mana. Better yet, we got a good look at gameplay from Obsidian’s upcoming first-person RPG Avowed, we got the Hellblade 2 release date we’ve been waiting for, and best of all, we got the proper reveal of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, the new first-person (!) action/adventure/puzzler/whip-simulator that’s being executive produced by Elder Scrolls and Fallout director Todd Howard. I’m extremely pleased with Microsoft’s showing, and it helps set the tone for what should be a very good year of Xbox exclusives.

Vince Staples is getting his own Netflix series. Martha Is Dead is going to be turned into a feature length movie, LKA has confirmed. In partnership with Wired Productions and Swedish film studio Studios Extraordinaires, the Martha Is Dead movie is already in development. Co-directing the movie are André Hedetoft and Andreas Troedsson. André Hedetoft has previously directed a film called Origin, and two short films called Logan and Double Trouble. He is also working on a Fort Solis adaptation. Andreas Troedsson has been a cinematographer on The Birdcatcher’s Son, and Tareq Taylor’s Nordic Cookery.
