To celebrate the release of the new streaming series, players can now get Lucy’s Vault 33 Backpack in-game. The show chronicles the adventures of Lucy MacLean, a Vault Dweller who leaves the safety of Vault 33 to explore the wasteland in search of her missing father. Thanks to some special crossover content, players can now emulate Lucy’s look.
There are two ways for players to claim Lucy’s Vault 33 Backpack in: via an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription and from Twitch drops. Backpacks in are more than a cosmetic fashion choice, allowing players to increase their carrying capacity while exploring the wasteland. Regardless of how players claim the Backpack, they’ll also need to take extra steps to get it in-game.
Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers can claim the Backpack as part of the Vault 33 Survival Kit. This is a special perk for subscribers and can be claimed under the Perks tab in the Xbox PC app or from the Game Pass app on Xbox consoles. Signing up for Xbox Game Pass is generally recommended for Xbox console owners and anyone looking forward to major releases from Xbox studios.
Once players claim their reward from their Perks tab, they can redeem a code to receive the Vault 33 Survival Kit in. This particular perk is only available until June 16th, so players should grab it before it vanishes.
Two versions of the Survival Kit are available: one for PC and one for Xbox consoles. Make sure to claim the right perk for your platform of choice.
Apart from Lucy’s Backpack, the Survival Kit also has other useful rewards, including:
Essentially, these provide players with additional in-game resources, useful temporary buffs, and new perks – everything a Vault Dweller needs to survive out in the wasteland.
According to Bethesda, players can also claim the Backpack by watching streamers on Twitch. Between now and April 23rd, players can subscribe to any Twitch streamer playing to get a code. This code can be redeemed on Bethesda.net. Twitch subscriptions cost money but are generally less expensive than a subscription to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.
Once players have claimed their items, they should head over to the nearest Armor Workbench. The Vault 33 Backpack can be applied to any existing backpack as an aesthetic mod, in exchange for 1 Cloth and 2 Plastic.
It’s worth noting that backpacks aren’t immediately available to new players. Instead, the crafting plans for the small backpack can be found at the Overseer’s camp. Crafting plans for the standard backpack can also be obtained by completing The Order of the Tadpole side quest at the Pioneer Scout Camp. This quest involves helping out the Pioneer Scouts by demonstrating kindness, helpfulness, bravery, and growth.
